For the majority of the year, the restaurant operates on a breakfast service basis. The Wight offers one of the best British breakfasts available on the island with comfortable seating for 100 diners. Breakfast is served from 8.15am, with last orders at 9.45am.

The Wight is a popular venue for all types of social gatherings. Offering quality food and service in a comfortable setting we are able to host weddings, christening parties, wakes, birthday and anniversary parties and association and club dinner dances.
The Wight has a wedding licence which enable us to offer a complete wedding on the premises. Such occasions are greatly enhanced by the layout of the entrance lobby, restaurant, bar and dance floor, which, whilst all being separate areas, are all visible to each other and provide the feeling of being in one continuous area. A further benefit is that The Wight has a permanent dance floor and stage which avoids disturbance when restaurant tables need moved after dinner to make space for dancing.
WiFi access for laptops makes us an ideal venue for company meetings, product launches and in-house conferences. We are also able to provide facilities for interviews and accommodate groups (whether residential or non-residential) who are attending seminars and training courses.
The Dog & Frog Bar is open all day for the use of hotel clients and those attending evening entertainment or functions. Alec Merrick is our very popular Bar Manager and together with his wife Jill, ensures it is stocked to suit most tastes. An ideal opportunity to sample a locally brewed ale or to enjoy a luxury brand whisky or cognac.
Our wine list offers the choice of some 40 carefully chosen wines from all over the World. Economically priced, they range from a pleasant House White at £14 to an excellent vintage Pouilly Fume at only £25, House Red at £14 through to a superb vintage Chateauneuf du Pape at £32. Where possible we maintain stocks of half bottles and a small selection of wine may be ordered by the glass.
